So i have been painting… shock horror, after all, this is what this rusticwhites was meant to be all about!! So paint brushes are out! But this time a bit more select on the project and at a slower pace! These tables have been in my garage for a month or so and I’m glad they are on their way back to the owners.
My client wanted to keep the timber tops with an Antique base. I used Chalk Furniture Finish Antique, Maple stain for the top and then covered the whole table with Voodoo Molly Clearcoat.
Think they suit my living area nicely, i’m very pleased with the finished look! My coffee table might be getting it’s own makeover soon! Happy Saturday to all.
Wow two posts in one day! Going for it today and have a few jobs on my to do list done… always a good feeling crossing them off!
My latest project is this divine and gorgeous Oak Dining Table, here’s some before shots…
The top just needed a good sand down and waxing. The base and legs I painted a warm cream.
Natural wooden chairs would look great with this table (better than my white ones!) and even a bit of distressing would add to it’s character too. Emmm tossing up whether doing that or not… maybe the new owner can decide on that one… I like the idea of it wearing off naturally on this one.
The top is 3 panels of solid Oak. I picked up the jar with the lid on the right this morning at a local antique store, been looking for these for ages…. love love…
Have a lovely day!!
